As you may know from our previous reports on Vorsteiner’s plans for this year’s SEMA show, they have brought with them a couple of hotties boasting the latest aero kits they have developed in-house. The hotties in questions are the hot-out-of-oven Vorsteiner McLaren 570VX and the Vorsteiner Ferrari 458VX which is a new take on an old model.
These kits are among the very best in business for these super cars, McLaren setting new standard for the 570 and the 458 schooling other tuners on how it’s properly done. Both kits are also top-notch in terms of quality, as they are made from Vorsteiner’s refined pre-preg carbon fiber.
The Vorsteiner McLaren 570VX has the more elaborate treatment here, featuring completely revised bumpers with new spoiler lip, side wings and intake grilles up front, a new diffuser and tailpipe cutouts out back, aero side blades and side vent bezels, and a giant GTR rear wing which is a real attention grabber.

Inspired by the debut of the MX-5 Speedster Evo at the SEMA Show, designer X-Tomi did in a new rendering what FCA should have done in real life. He penned the Abarth 124 Speedster, implementing the concept MX-5’s idea on its Fiat cousin, with startling results.
The Speedster treatment looked good on the Mazda, but it is absolutely amazing on the Fiat 124 Abarth. The more aggressive design of the roadster which has just the right amount of vintage in it makes a perfect Abarth 124 Speedster. Of course, the black paint job with the charcoal wheel and the red accents help a lot here, but on the whole this Speedster looks like it can eat Mazda’s version for breakfast.
Neither this Abarth 124 Speedster nor that Mazda MX-5 Speedster are slated for production, but we would like some tuners out there picking up the gauntlet and make a speedster version of the either car. As the more hypercar savvy among you must be aware, Vanishing Point is the cool name Pagani has come up with for their customer driving tours. In it they assemble a large convoy of Zonda and Huayras and hit the road, with stops are race tracks and fine restaurants along the way.
When Vanishing Point came to the United States for the American Pagani customers to get the treat, the Italian super exoticas got kind of overshadowed by all the other hypercars that tued up for the event. The number, the variety, and the sheer hyper-ness of these cars beggars belief:

As the 2016 SEMA show opens its doors to visitors at Las Vegas convention center Mazda reveals the two MX5 concepts they promised will knock our socks off. One of them, the MX-5 Miata Speedster Evolution, we have seen before. We are more excited about the new Mazda MX-5 RF Kuro.
The Kuro is based on the new fastback version of the sports car and features a stealthy satin black finish as its main highlight. Basically a road-going MX-5 Global Cup race car, Mazda MX-5 RF Kuro also boasts adjustable suspension, Brembo dual-piston front brake calipers, OpenFlash Performance center exit exhaust, and 17 inch RAYS wheels. There are only so many vintage 911s in the world, so the only way prices for these bad boys are going is up. That is why this 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI which was sold for £146,250 in 2015 is now offered again by Silverstone Auctions, this time sporting an estimate of £240,000 to £280,000.
To be honest though the bump in price is not just the increase in value of this car, but also the work and energy the owner put in restoring it to original glory. David Brown Automotive, the maker of Speedback GT which is a highly customized, bespoke version of the old Jaguar XK, has showcased three of the latest production models in the colors of the Union Jack for a special photoshoot. We reckon the hope here is to use patriotism as a sales man because after all this time Brown is only up to production numbers 003, 004 and 005.
And if these had been sold there would have been no need for this patriotic campaign. The thing about David Brown Speedback GT is, although it’s a highly exquisite product with bespoke panels and a rather nice interior, at the end of the day it is still an old XK. That would have been OK if the asking price was in the neighborhood of, say, 100 to 150 thousand pounds. But no, Brown is asking £495,000 exclusive of taxes for each one of these cars.

When we first featured the wide body Prior Design Porsche Macan a lot of you guys liked what you saw. And since the customer is always right, we decided to bring you shots of a new version of this amazing machine, this time in the loveliest shade of blue known to man!
Since we have already discussed the details of the styling package for Prior Design Porsche Macan we’re not going to waste your time reiterating the facts here. But just for a real quick recap, the package consists of custom front and rear bumpers, front spoiler and grilles, rear diffuser, extended side sills, front and rear wide arches with vents, rear roof spoiler, and an optional rear tailgate spoiler. So while their American branch, Acura, has to be content with limited exposure at this year’s SEMA show, Honda themselves are going to have a ball at the event. The highlight of their lineup is the Honda Civic Type R which will make its North American debut in “prototype” form at a “Civicpalooza.”
We have already seen the new Honda Civic Type R at the Paris Motor Show last month, but SEMA will be the first opportunity the Americans have to check out the looks of the 10th generation Civic. The prototype features a highly reflective, finely-grained brushed aluminum-effect finish which brings out the car’s prominent styling features such as winged carbon fiber splitter and sporty red accent line, diamond-mesh inserts inside the sculpted air intakes, air scoops and ducts, smoked LED headlights, indicators and side indicator repeater lights, carbon side skirts, 20-inch piano black alloy wheels with red accents and 245-section high-performance tires.

Move aside Audi RS6, because there is (potentially) a new top dog coming to rule the high-performance wagon segment. The Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate rendered here based on the recently revealed 2018 model will soon be launched with 600 horsepower, unless something stops AMG from making it.
That is an unlikely scenario, because while BMW has always shied away from this market Mercedes has been quite active giving us high-performance wagons and shooting brakes. None of them have managed completely to challenge Audi’s authority in this market, but that could change with the launch of the new Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate. Even if doesn’t get the S-version like the sedan, the standard model with 560 horsepower is plenty powerful enough to take on the RS6.

Audi is relying heavily these days on their superb 2.0 liter TFSI engine to carry some of the weight of their environmental responsibilities without compromising the power and performance their customers have gotten used to. So after putting this engine in the latest Q7 SUV, they have now announced the launch of a new version of the 2017 Audi A3 with the unit.
Mind you, in the 2017 Audi A3 you don’t get the most powerful incaation of the TFSI four-banger as it’s tuned at 186 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. Still, that’s a good amount of oomph for a small sedan and provides satisfying performance with a 0 to 60 mph time of 6.6 seconds. More importantly, the engine features a combustion method with shorter compression and longer expansion phases to enhance fuel efficiency which stands at an EPA-estimated 29-mpg combined.
